Can you tell us about yourself and how you got started in your job or business?
I was let go from a role in August 2023 where I worked as a Communications Director. It was a turning point in my life where I felt I could carve a life that I truly wanted. I felt a pull towards working with people in the creative and wellness industries to help them approach marketing in a more mindful way, so I decided to start my business Maven of Momentum as a digital marketing consultant and trainer.
How does your work make a positive impact on others?
Because I work with individuals in the creative and wellness industries, I can harness my expertise in digital marketing to transform their businesses. My tailored strategies have significantly boosted earnings, with one client banking $8.9k due to my series of well-crafted emails. I've also simplified the often-daunting world of social media and email marketing, developing clear and easy-to-follow plans that boost online presence and drive growth.
Much of my work involves finding unique perspectives for projects and fostering creativity and innovation that sets my clients apart in their respective fields. My strong understanding of online marketing and copywriting skills further contribute to my client's success. My designs have been lauded for their beauty, reflecting the aesthetic appeal that is vital in these industries. I've also simplified the often daunting world of social media and email marketing, developing clear and easy-to-follow plans that boost online presence and drive growth. My guidance has been instrumental in helping startups navigate challenges, particularly in the fitness industry. By making complex processes manageable, I build confidence in my clients, enabling them to take control of their business's online presence and marketing strategies. The positive impact of my work is evident not just in the financial growth of these businesses but also in the personal development of the individuals I work with. Their enhanced skills, increased confidence, and innovative approaches testify to the power of effective digital marketing.
What resource or discussion do you like most in the Conscious Marketing Movement?
I like the idea around the use of compassionate language and conscious collaboration. I feel that the marketing world spends too much time pushing fear-based language and encourages a competitive landscape. Whereas I much prefer the 'do it together' philosophy and spreading the wealth (money and knowledge) so we can all grow and prosper.
What motivated you to become a part of the Conscious Marketing Movement?
I knew there had to be other marketing professionals who felt the same way I did about the current marketing practices. When I discovered the community on LinkedIn, I knew that was a place where I would find people who wanted to learn and grow together.
