But who is the DEI membership for?

Our aim is to make sure anyone who shares our values can join our community. If you fit into any of these groups, you could qualify for a reduced membership fee:

  • Early Career Professionals:
If you are in the early stages of your career, meaning 1-3 years after graduation, we're here to help.

  • Unemployment or Underemployment:
We understand that career paths can have ups and downs. If you're currently unemployed or facing challenges in finding stable employment, we've got your back.

  • Underrepresented Backgrounds:
If you feel you are often left out of mainstream discussions because of who you are, we’re here to support you. This includes but is not limited to individuals who are people of colour, LGBTQ+, have a disability, and/or come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

If you don't fit into these groups but still need help, please click here to apply and tell us why. We appreciate your unique perspective and what you can bring to our community!

How can you support the DEI memberships?

You have the power to help us create a more diverse community where all members feel represented and safe. A place where people can be themselves and be respected and valued.

Your donation to our community fund allows us to offer reduced membership rates to early career professionals, people who are unemployed or underemployed, those from underrepresented backgrounds, and more.

As a thank you, we will mention you on this page to show our appreciation for your support.

So what do you mean by ‘Diversity, Equity & Inclusion’ (DEI)?

  • Diversity is valuing different perspectives and intentionally designing our community to reflect a range of backgrounds. This representation can be through many dimensions, including gender identity, age, race and ethnicity, sexual orientation and ability.

  • Equity is creating consistent, systematic, fair and just treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all individuals while working to remove any barriers that might prevent someone’s full and equitable participation in the Conscious Marketing Movement.

  • Inclusion is ensuring that everyone feels like they belong and have a voice that is heard.

Words matter, and we strive to use the most inclusive and respectful verbiage possible.

But language evolves, and sometimes we might get it wrong. If that’s the case, please let us know how we can do better here.
