Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
I used to be fanatic about order, so to get out of my comfort zone I decided to become messy.
Can you tell us about yourself and how you got started in your job or business?
After graduating in Economics and Management Engineering, I realized I yearned for a more artistic career. I left the corporate and academic world to become a freelancer specializing in marketing strategy, branding, content, and visual direction.
In the meantime, I also left my home town and moved to another country, with the idea of becoming a digital nomad. It took a great amount of courage to make such a life change. Finding motivation and a clear vision was a bit challenging in the beginning, but determination, flexibility and desire to explore the new greatly helped.
At first I was doing small jobs, even unpaid, to learn and get experience; every skill acquired has proved beneficial. Then some bigger clients and long-term projects started to come in. I realized the direction I was giving to my skills and business was really allowing me to merge a strategic approach with my creative and artistic side.
As a digital nomad for two years, I traveled while working and had the opportunity to visit coliving spaces and participate in transformative wellbeing retreats. These experiences greatly contributed to both my personal and professional growth, and gave me the inspiration for recently founding a marketing and branding agency, Lotus Studio, specialized in marketing, branding and content design for coliving owners and retreat curators.
How does your work make a positive impact on others?
Through Conscious Communication. Marketing and branding are not just about selling products, disregarding how communication choices could impact society.
Upon deeper examination, I recognized the profound influence that marketing, branding, and design have on people's mindsets and overall wellbeing. Today's communication often revolves around emotions like FOMO (fear of missing out) and feelings of inadequacy. As a marketer, brand identity developer and designer, I understand that I can choose how to convey a value proposition, considering the words I use, the visuals I select, and the underlying message I propose.
It's crucial for me to collaborate with clients who share these values and aim to create positive change through their brand. Aesthetically, the designs I develop for my clients are always inspired by the beauty in the world around and within us. By paying attention to these small details, I believe we can collectively make a positive impact. That's why I'm part of this beautiful community that is the Conscious Marketing Movement.
What resource or discussion do you like most in the Conscious Marketing Movement?
As someone working in this field, I particularly appreciate the posts where members discuss the challenges of social media and share ideas on how to make these platforms less toxic. The "Promote it" channel is also valuable for generating interest in the services you offer or finding potential collaborators who can meet your needs.
What motivated you to become a part of the Conscious Marketing Movement?
The recognition of the significant impact that marketing and communication can have on society, and the incredible enthusiasm of its founder, Claudia. As a marketer and designer, I believe in using my skills to make a positive difference by focusing on conscious communication. I know that in this movement I can connect with like-minded people, share experiences and overall contribute to creating a more ethical marketing landscape.
