Code of Conduct
Last updated: 23 December 2025
We welcome all people, not all behaviour. We expect all our community members to adhere to the following code of conduct:
Avoid spam
Help us maintain a spam-free community. Spam refers to any unwanted, irrelevant, or excessive content that disrupts our discussions. If you encounter any spammy or inappropriate content within the community, please report it.
Be respectful and inclusive
Actively promote respect and inclusivity by engaging in conversations that are welcoming and considerate. Encourage diverse voices and perspectives to thrive. Take a stand against discrimination, harassment, or any form of offensive behaviour.
Give helpful feedback
Provide constructive feedback and suggestions that foster personal and professional growth, helping fellow members improve their skills and approaches. Feedback should support your community, not your ego.
Protect privacy and confidentiality
Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of fellow members by refraining from sharing sensitive information without explicit consent.
Respect intellectual property
When using or sharing someone else's work, give them credit and get their permission if needed. Don't take what's not yours.
If you stumble upon a valuable resource within our community that is publicly accessible (e.g., an article that is open to anyone on the internet without requiring a login or subscription), feel free to share it. But remember to acknowledge the community and the member who shared it when you do. We work hard to gather useful resources for our members, and we'd love your help in spreading the word about our community's value.
Disclose affiliates
We value transparency within our community. If you are affiliated with any organisation, business, or entity, we kindly ask you to disclose this affiliation when engaging in discussions or activities within the community. Sharing this information helps us trust each other and strengthens the bond within our community.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the community
We’d love for this space to stay rooted in real human connection. While it’s absolutely okay to use AI to polish or edit your writing, we kindly ask that you avoid using it to generate full responses to others’ posts or to create engagement.
What matters most here is your lived experience: your stories, your wisdom, your perspective. That’s what makes this community meaningful. AI can be helpful, but it often misses the nuance, empathy, and depth that you bring. So whenever possible, we invite you to stay present with us, show up as yourself, and share from the heart.
Report violations
These guidelines apply to everyone in our community. They're here to help keep the friendly and respectful atmosphere of the Conscious Marketing Movement, all while supporting the ideas, activities, and projects that our members come up with. The goal is to make sure our community stays a safe place as it grows and welcomes more members.
Take immediate action by reporting any violations of these guidelines or the code of conduct here. You can tell us your name or stay anonymous.
Your diligence helps maintain the integrity of our community.
Consequences of violations
Watchful Eye: We'll always keep an eye out for rule-breaking and encourage others to report it.
Educate: If someone breaks a rule unknowingly, we'll kindly explain the rule to them.
Guide: We'll offer advice on how to avoid breaking the rule again.
Mediation: If there's a disagreement, we'll help both sides find a solution.
Warning: If someone keeps breaking rules, we'll give them a formal warning, indicated by a red flag tag 🚩.
Timeout: In serious cases, we may temporarily suspend their access.
Ban: As a last resort, we might permanently remove them from the community.
We will periodically review and update this code of conduct to align with the evolving needs and values of our community.
